Last week I was contacted by Jana Kleinman, a recruiter at Pathfinders Staffing.  She had a Cold Fusion development position she wanted to discuss with me.  After discussing this opportunity, I was very excited about it.  The company is located in Farmingdale, so that is a bonus.  The only thing that concerned her was they were loooking for a developer with 5yrs. Cold Fusion experience, but she said she would submit my resume anyway and take it from there.   It is a good thing she did because they wanted to set up a phone interview with me. 

Today was that phone interview.  I called a guy name Hercules.  The opportunity sounds like a great one.  They are looking for a ColdFusion Developer to fit in with a 5 person development team, who is all very new with the company.  I asked about the 5 year ColdFusion experience requirement and Hercules said he didn’t write the description but they had been contemplating bringing in a senior developer to help restructure their ColdFusion development process, but they are not sure if they are going that route or not.  It sounds very promising if they decided to not go the  senior developer route.  End result he is going to send my resume to his team and get their feedback and then get back to Jana.  I am hoping to hear a response either way by the end of the week.  Crossing my fingers.  Wish me luck!!

On Sunday 12/13/09 I was supposed to meet with some potential customers to show them some houses.  These would have been my first customers, but unfortunately they had to cancel because someone was sick.  I hope we can reschedule.  I hope this wasn’t their way of telling me they are working with another agent or are not interested.  I am going to give them a call tomorrow to see if they are still interested.

While Lisa, Drew and Desi were up for Pop-Pop’s memorial mass, my dad and I took Drew to golf at Merrick Road Golf Course.  We went late, 3:30, so we were unable to finish.  We only played six hole.  Again I beat Drew, by two this time, but yet again Drew had sweet ass birdie on hole 2.  He drove it like 10 yds from the hole and then he chipped the ball right in the cup.  I wish we could have got it on instant replay.  Check out the scoreboard below.  I know it’s a little blurry but it Drew – 37, Lou – 40, Eug – 35.

While Lisa, Drew and Desi were up here for Pop-Pop’s memorial mass, I took him golfing at Cantiague Park.  We didn’t do so great (over par again) but Drew did pretty good for not playing since the summer.  I ended up beating him by 1, but he had a sweet par on hole 8.  Take a look at the score card (below) grasshopper.

Between losing my job and Pop-Pop passing away, I have neglected to continue pursuing my real estate career.  Well today that all change.  Today I started to attend the Wednesday night training classes.  These classes are informational so it is a good start to get back on track.  There is also this intensive training program that is on Tuesday and Thursday, however I believe those started already, although I am waiting to hear from the guy who runs the program to see if I can still join.  If not I plan on taking the training as soon as I can.  Since I lost my job, now is the best time to direct my focus to real estate.  I need to ask my manager about getting on the LeadRouter Software so I can start getting some buyers.

Today my dad and I went to Cantiague Park for a little golf outing.  We play our horrible usual self, but was hella fun.  I actually did pretty good consider I shot a 50, or as I like to say “10 under….double par.”  Despite my horrible score I did shoot a birdie on hole 6, my new favorite hole.  Don’t believe me, I know it is difficult to believe, but take a look at my scorecard below:

**SPOILER ALERT**

The first semi-final result show of America’s Got Talent I feel is a complete sham…I feel two of the acts that made it, in my opinion should not have made it.    In my opinion these are the 4 acts that should have made it to the final:

• AcroDunk
• The Fab Five
• Kevin Skinner and
• The Voices of Glory

I do not think Grandma Lee and The Texas Tenors should not have made it to the final.  One good thing that did come out of the show is that instead of choosing between the Voices of Glory and The Fab Five, the judges decided to put both acts through to the final.  I still wish AcroDunk would have made it through.  I would have paid to see them in in Vegas.  I do not see how Grandma Lee or The Texas Tenors could hold a show in Vegas.

Anyways that’s my rant on the results show.  I hope the next semi-final is better, although I honestly don’t know who else is left.

My boss sent this around the other day, pretty funny shit, I wish I would have thought of doing this.

This past weekend the New Yorkers concluded the 2009 MABL Championship series with the Suffolk Pirates.  After going down 13-1 in the first game of the series, The New Yorkers had their backs against the wall, needing to win Game 2 in order to force a Game 3. 

Needing to win Game 2 The New Yorkers started their ace, Pete Abrami, who pitch a flawless, 4 hit - 5 strikeout, complete game shutout.  The New Yorkers evened the series with a 6-0 win over the Pirates and forced a Game 3. 

Unfortunately Game 3 was too much like Game 1 and The New Yorkers were blown out again 16-5.  This game should have been a lot closer then it was, but unfortunately for the New Yorkers starting pitcher, Joe Caprioli, had to leave the game with severe leg cramps after only 3 innings.  Larry Mazur, Matt Cifichiello and Ryan Parnell came on to close out the game.  Unfrotunately, the Suffolk Pirates took advantage of the New Yorkers lack of pitching and scored 11 runs of the relieving pitching staff.

Hopefully next season the New Yorkers will not lose any player for the playoff and will revenge their 4th Championship loss and take home the MABL Championship Trophy.
